1869
The company WILHELM BARTELS was founded in 1869 in Karlovy Vary (Kingdom of Bohemia/Empire of Austria, later Czechoslovak Republic, then Sudetenland and today Czech Republic) and described itself as the "oldest forwarding business in Karlovy Vary". Itwas taken over by Karl Sebert at an unknown date and then initially used the name WILHELM BARTELS NACHFOLGER KARL SEBERT.
1936
Karl Sebert's son WATER SEBERT received his trade licence for "forwarding furniture transport - coal and commission business" on 6 October 1936. For the time before the expulsion of the Sudeten Germans in 1945/1946, 24 employees and over 10 trucks are listed for Karlsbad.
1945
The new beginning after the expulsion took place in 1945 in Schirnding in the Upper Palatinate. The parent company - SEBERT KG - is still located there today.
1978
The WALTER SEBERT Ges.m.b.H in Salzburg, founded in 1976, starts its business activities. Gottfried Dolleisch becomes managing director.
1980
Opening of the border offices in Spielfeld Nickelsdorf and Drasenhofen.
1983
Opening of the Passau - Linz motorway and the Suben West and Suben East border offices at the Austrian and German customs offices.
2004
Termination of the business activities of Walter Sebert Int. Speditionsgesellschaft mbH in Schirnding and closure of all branches and border offices on 30.04.2004 due to the 10 Visegrád states joining the EU on 01.05.2004. Commencing of business activities of the newly established Freilassing branch of Walter Sebert Ges.m.b.H. Salzburg with border offices in Bad Reichenhall AB and Suben AB.
2013
Foundation of Walter Sebert Zoll-Logistik GmbH Freilassing with border offices in Bad Reichenhall AB and Suben AB.
2014
Start of business activities of Walter Sebert Zoll-Logistik GmbH Freilassing in the premises of the Freilassing branch with the same employees and customers.
2022
Preparation and introduction of digitalisation of business operations on 26.11.2022.
